  • Lunch break from 1:00 – 2:00 pm
  • 15-minute breaks, mid-morning and mid-afternoon

What to Bring

  • one sheet for work on the table
  • loose fitting attire for body viewing and receiving work on the table. For women this could be two piece bathing suit, or bra and underwear, or shorts and top. For men it could be bathing suit, underwear, or shorts. The main thing is that you are comfortable, and also to accommodate for the working on your tissues.

The learning objectives of the course encompass:

  • How gravity affects human structure
  • The theory of how to rebalance the entire structure with the field of gravity
  • A three-session protocol for balancing the body with gravity, and how techniques from each of the three sessions can be applied to remedy various myofascial pain and tension syndromes
  • Increased awareness of myofascial restrictions and rotations
  • How to unwind and lengthen myofascial restrictions and rotations in a safe and systematic fashion
  • Efficient body mechanics, thereby using your body with less exertion while at the same time achieving greater results
  • How intention shapes the result of technique
  • Mindfulness techniques to be more fully present with the messages from the client’s body
  • More sensitivity in your hands, so you have better tissue assessment skills
  • Interconnectivity in the body—how the fascial layers and all tissues are continuous throughout the system

The course includes the following:

  • 32 page manual with detailed instructions of each of the sessions and techniques, including 35 images of the techniques
  • A Certificate of Completion (on paper) signed by the instructor, stating the participant’s name, course name and date, and total hours (30 hours)
  • Presentations on the theory and practice of MIPAWORK, and of each of the sessions
  • Demonstration and instruction of the sessions and techniques
  • Group and one-to-one guidance for mastering your body mechanics
  • Instruction in mindfulness meditation, and time to practice each day of the workshop
  • Time for questions and answers and discussion
  • Exercises and guidance to help you develop your abilities to “listen” to the state and needs of soft tissues
